Important notice for captains

The Aliens Act section 11, 7 and 8 proclaim that:

 

Yacht captains that arrive in a Faroese port from a country, which has not joined the Schengen Convention, must prepare a record of crewmembers and any passengers. The record can eighter be sent directly to the border police by email to this adres fo-uka@politi.dk or be submitted to the Harbour Master upon arrival to be handed over to the police as a means for preparation of the entry control. Furthermore, it follows from The Aliens Act section 9, subsection 2, that all persons entering and leaving a non-Schengen country must report for entry or exit control, regardless of nationality and the number of trips.

A breach may result in punishment in the form of a fine or incarceration.

 

Non-EU, -EEA or -CH citizens first entry in the Schengen-area

 

If you are not an EU, EEA or CH citizen, your entry into and exit from the Schengen area must be registered digitally, and you are obliged to report your arrival and departure to the Harbour Master or the police.
